Golden Staircase Walk

From Pawarenga, half day from Pawarenga, half day walk. Park car at the end of the road and walk around the harbours edge to the sign. Call 09 4095569

Omahuta Forest Walk

Beautiful Kauri trees, follow the signs from Highway 1 just south of Mangamuka Bridge (see Dept of Conservation brochure - available from Tree House).

Sand Dunes

From Rangi Point. Park at the old school building. Not signposted. 3 hrs walk return.

Swing Bridge

Broadwood. To St Marks Church. Few minutes walk. (Now closed for repairs)

Totara Point

Pompallier's Plinth. 8 kms north of Kohukohu. 20 min walk from the main road. Well sign posted.

Waipahihi Wildlife Sanctuary

3 Km north of Kohukohu, on main road . Free guided short walks, about 1 hour, each day 11.30am (Hokianga time). To confirm call 09 4055540
